Delete your MeroGold account

You may request permanent deletion of your MeroGold account and associated personal data. We will verify your identity before processing the request to protect your account and assets.

Important: Before requesting deletion, please make sure there are no pending deposits, withdrawals, purchases, sales, deliveries, disputes, or remaining wallet or metal balances.

How to request account deletion

Send an email from your registered email address, where available.
Use the subject line Account Deletion Request.
Include your full name, registered mobile number, MeroGold ID, and registered email address.
Do not send passwords, OTP codes, PINs, or full payment credentials.

Identity verification

To prevent unauthorized deletion, MeroGold may ask you to complete reasonable identity verification using information already associated with your account. We will never ask you to share your password, OTP, PIN, or full card or bank credentials by email.

What will be deleted

Subject to successful verification and applicable legal requirements, deletion may include:

Your MeroGold customer account and profile.
Authentication and account-access associations.
Saved preferences and device associations.
KYC files and personal documents where deletion is legally permitted.
Other personal data associated with the account that is not required to be retained.

Data that may be retained

MeroGold may retain limited information when required for legal, regulatory, taxation, accounting, audit, fraud-prevention, anti-money-laundering, KYC, dispute-resolution, security, or enforcement purposes. This may include transaction records and related compliance records.

Any retained information will be restricted to the required purpose and kept only for the applicable retention period. Account deletion does not erase lawful records that MeroGold is required to preserve.

Processing time and confirmation

After receiving a complete request, MeroGold will acknowledge it and begin verification. Processing time may vary where an account has pending transactions, unresolved claims, legal holds, or regulatory retention obligations. We will send confirmation when the deletion process has been completed or explain any lawful retention that applies.

Account deletion is permanent and may prevent recovery of your account history, preferences, and access credentials.
