KYC & AML Policy

1. Purpose

This Policy explains MeroGold’s customer identification, due-diligence, anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering controls.

2. Who must complete KYC

MeroGold may require KYC before deposits, withdrawals, purchases, sales, transfers, savings products, delivery, redemption or higher limits.

3. Information and documents

• Legal name, date of birth, address, phone and email.
• Citizenship, national ID, passport or other accepted government document.
• Selfie or document-holder image where required.
• Bank/payment-account evidence, occupation, source of funds and beneficial-owner information where applicable.

4. Verification process

Documents may be reviewed manually or through approved technical providers. MeroGold may ask for originals, additional documents or reverification.

5. Risk monitoring

MeroGold may monitor unusual velocity, device/account links, mismatched names, duplicate identities, suspicious payment references and other risk indicators.

6. Approval, rejection and restrictions

KYC may be approved, pending, rejected or sent for more information. MeroGold may set limits, delay settlement, refuse transactions or freeze accounts where reasonably necessary.

7. Recordkeeping and lawful reporting

MeroGold may retain KYC and transaction records and make confidential reports to competent authorities when required or permitted by law.

8. Customer responsibilities

• Provide complete, current and genuine information.
• Do not lend, sell or share the account.
• Use funding sources belonging to the verified customer unless approved.
• Update expired documents or changed information.

9. Privacy and security

KYC data is handled under the Privacy Policy. Never send identity documents to unofficial accounts or unknown numbers.
